Vendors Wanted

 
The Sparks team is happy to provide opportunites for vendors at the 2010 event for both commercial and non-profit companies.  We welcome food vendors and non-food vendors.

 

Festival Name: Sparks in the Park

Festival Date: Saturday, June 26, 2010; Rain date: Sunday, June 27, 2010

Contract Deadline: June 1, 2010

 

HOURS OF OPERATION

During Sparks in the Park, all vendors must be supervised by a certified food manager at their concessions at all times.

 
Set Up Time     Saturday – 2:00 p.m. Vendor must be up and running and ready to serve at 4:00 p.m.
 
Sparks Hours Saturday – 4:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
 
Take Down:        Saturday -after fireworks but before midnight

 

 

PAYMENT OF FEES
Cost:      $150 for commercial companies; $50 for non-profit organizations.  All fees are to be paid in full prior with signed contract by June 1, 2010.  This contract represents the entire agreement between the parties concerning this transaction, and there are no verbal or honor agreements existing between the parties, which are not expressly set forth herein and covered hereby.  Checks should be made payable to the Highland Business Association.

 

LOCATION

Location is to be determined by the Highland Business Association. Space is based upon availability.

 

FOOD
On-site food preparation only allowed to be done by organizations that are licensed to do so. All others must prepare food off-site in a licensed kitchen. All safe food handling practices must be followed including making arrangements for proper food temperature, hand washing, utensil washing, and water disposal.

 

INSURANCE

All food concessions must submit proof of liability insurance coverage with rider showing the Highland Business Association its officers, directors and agents as additional insured for Sparks in the Park.  The Sparks in the Park Committee must be in receipt of the vendor's insurance certificate no later than June 10, 2010.

 

ELECTRICITY 

As electricity access is limited, please bring your own generator.  We will not be responsible for generator failure during the night.  If you use an electrical cord that crosses the sidewalk it must be covered and secured to the ground to prevent pedestrian accidents.  You must provide your own outdoor-grounded cords free of defects.

 

WATER

Vendors will be responsible for all waste water.  Water must be contained, and cannot create any outside accumulation.

 

HOLD HARMLESS

With the signing of this contract, all entrants into the park agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Highland Business Association its officers, board of directors and agents from any cause or action whatsoever for any damage to, with respect to person or property and agree to assume full responsibility for the same.

 

CARE OF AREA

All participating entrants agree to keep their area in a clean and sanitary condition during the event.

 

SUB-CONTRACTING

Subcontracting of space will not be allowed.

 

SECURITY

The Highland Business Association will not be responsible for safe keeping of your property.
 

VIOLATIONS

Food vendors in violation of the contract may be expelled from Sparks in the Park immediately and/or not invited back next year based upon the discretion of the Highland Business Association, its officers, directors and agents.

 

CONTRACT DEADLINE

Applications will be accepted up to June 1, 2010.  However, if allotted spaces are filled prior to the deadline, applications will no longer be accepted.
